Dental solutions such as braces are under orthodontics and dentures are under Prosthodontics. Your general dentist will refer you to an Orthodontist or a Prosthodontist in case they are unable to resolve your dental problem. Prosthodontists can replace missing teeth with caps, crowns, bridges, or full sets of dentures; specialize in rebuilding other parts of the mouth. An orthodontist is a dentist who performs procedures that correct the alignment of teeth and change the position of the facial structure, teeth and jaws. Orthodontists concentrate exclusively on issues related to the alignment of the teeth.
