Oral and Dental health is the important factor in your complete health and health condition. Unhygienic oral health can cause dental problems and gum diseases, this poor hygiene can lead to heart problems, cancer and diabetics. High level of oral hygiene practice (OHP) can keep the oral disease clear and prevents most of oral and systemic problems, especially for children who are in under developed countries has facing this problem in very high ratio. The negative impact and burden of oral diseases restrict activities in schools and homes, leading to the loss of many potential working hours and more

Track 2: Pediatric Dentistry

The pediatric dentistry is explained as the main part of dentistry which studies about the oral health care of kids from birth to adolescence.  Children with the special conditions are also treated with special care. Pediatric dentistry is vary from general dentistry, parents opt it as they are concerned about the oral health of their children. Pediatric dentistry is also known as Pedodontics.

The dentist who is studied about the oral health of kids is called a pediatric dentist.  A person who cures all types of teeth problems in kids, infants and adolescents is the effective pediatric dentist definition.

Track 3: Geriatric Dentistry

Geriatric dentistry is the parturition of dental care to the old people which involving in diagnosis, preventions, management and treatment of complications associated with age related problems. The mouth is indicated as a mirror of complete health, it emphasize that oral health is an innate part of overall health. In the elder age group poor oral condition has been considered a bad factor for common health problems. Older people are more prone to bad oral conditions or diseases due to enhance in chronic conditions and physical/mental problems. Thus, the elderly form a distinct group in terms of provision of treatment.

Track 4: Oral Pathology and Microbiology

Oral Pathology & Microbiology is the part of dentistry that explains the advanced topics, the behaviour, characteristic, causes, effects and diagnoses of problems affecting the oral and maxillofacial parts and study of the immune systems, providing appropriate treatment of the disease. Mouth bacteria cling to the teeth and gums to prevent mechanical flushing from the mouth to the stomach, where hydrochloric acid obliterates harmful fragile living life. Nonetheless, a very effective natural host defence mechanism constantly monitors bacterial colonisation and prevents bacterial disruption of nearby tissues. Features include a sore that doesn't cures, a lump or a white or red patch on the inner part of the mouth. Therapy includes surgery and radiation treatment. In some of the cases, chemotherapy might be essencial.

Track 10: Oral Appliance Therapy

Oral appliance therapy is an effective therapy option for snoring and intrusive sleep apnea (OSA). An oral device fits over your teeth like an orthodontic retainer when you  sleep and holdup your jaw in a forward posture to keep your airway open Once you are identified your dentist can fix you with an oral device. Dentist who works with the sleep group have special knowledge in curing sleep apnea. The most responsive treatment to the sleep apnea is CPAP treatment. Some patients opt an oral appliance as it is small, transportable and easy to use.

Track 11: Dental Stem Cells

Stem cells are undifferentiated cells, capable of renewing themselves. Via differentiation, they have the potential to develop into many different cell lineages. There are different kinds of stem cells, depending on the type of cells they can create and the location in the body. Dental stem cells (DSCs), an important source of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), can be easily obtained by minimally invasive procedures and have been used for the treatment of various diseases. Classic paradigm attributed the mechanism of their therapeutic action to direct cell differentiation after targeted migration, while contemporary insights into indirect paracrine effect opened new avenues for the mystery of their actual low engraftment and differentiation ability in vivo. 

Track 12: Dental Instruments

Dental instruments are devices that dental experts use to provide dental practice. They include instruments to examine, manipulate, treat, restore, and remove teeth and around oral architecture. The instruments categories are Laryngeal Mirrors, Dental Scaler and Forcep Collins. Dental Instruments are an essential part of the dental treatment. Dental experts including dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants use many types of devices to clean, extract, reconstruct and eliminate carries in teeth. The dental instruments are communed by their use while others are communed by their technical label. There are three main divisions of dental instruments which are used in general dentistry: general instruments that are used in a different procedures, extraction instruments, and those instruments appiled for reconstruction of the teeth

Track 13: Periodontics, Gingivitis, Endodontic

Periodontitis is usually known as gum disease, is an arrangement of inflammatory diseases influencing the tissues encompassing the teeth. Periodontitis contains dynamic loss of the alveolar bone rounded the teeth, and if it is untreated can cause the loosening and arise losing of teeth. Gingivitis is a non-destructive disease that happens to the teeth. The most widely recognized type of gingivitis and the most well-known type of periodontal disease, in general, is in light of bacterial biofilms (likewise called plaque) that is connected to tooth surfaces, named plaque-induced gingivitis. Also, knowledge, presentation, and communication are important concepts in meeting the dental ethics perimeters.

Track 15: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Maxillofacial surgery is a special type of dentistry. Some times its also called as Oral and maxillofacial surgery. It involves operations to correct diseases, injuries and defects of your face, jaw or mouth. Maxillofacial surgeons are advanced specialists who diagnose and treat problems with: Bones and tissues of your jaw and lower face. Correcting cleft palates to rebuilding jaws, cheeks, noses, eye sockets and foreheads damaged in accidents. surgery is done t remove complex tumours as well as impacted and non recoverable wisdom teeth also do other complex dental extractions and do bone grafts and dental implants to restore jaws.

Track 16: Orthodontics and Dental Implants

Orthodontic is a treatment of partially edentulous person who is having difficult, especially if a many number of teeth are lost. With missing of teeth, adjacent or opposing teeth normally tip, drift or over-erupt leave the spaces that are not optimal for putting of missing teeth. A surgeon implants a titanium post into the jaw bone to serve as a mounting point for the tooth-colored crown that replaces the original tooth. Dental implants have become a easy  method in orthodontic practice for providing temporary additional anchorage. These devices are useful to control skeletal anchorage in less compliant patients or in cases where absolute anchorage is necessary

Dentofacial orthopedics is the process of normalizing the growth of a patient’s bone structure to repair imbalances of the face and jaw. This process often involves a two-phase treatment and often begins when the patient is around 7 or 8 years old. While orthodontics entails the management of tooth movement, dentofacial orthopedics involves the guidance of facial growth and facial development, which occurs for the most part during childhood, and is a reason why kids are often the best candidates for receiving dentofacial orthopedic therapy. Dentofacial orthopedics is also used to treat adult patients at Hier & Palmer Orthodontics, however, this process may involve surgery.

Track 18: Dental Anesthesia

Anesthesia means a lack or loss of sensation. This can be with or without consciousness.Today there are many options available for dental anesthetics. Medications can be used alone or combined for better effect. It’s individualized for a safe and successful procedure.The type of anesthetics used also depends on the age of the person, health condition, length of the procedure, and any negative reactions to anesthetics in the past. The most commonly used local anesthetic is lidocaine, Other local anesthetic agents in current use include articaine,  bupivacaine  prilocaine and mepivacaine  Different types of local anaesthetic drugs vary in their potency and duration of action.

There are a number of different drugs your dentist may prescribe, depending on your condition. Some medications are prescribed to fight certain oral diseases, to prevent or treat infections, or to control pain and relieve anxiety. The doses of the drugs and instructions on how to take them differ from patient to patient, depending on what the drug is being used for, the patient's age and weight and other considerations. One of the most commonly reported dental complications involves various levels of pain. Due to this fact, pain management is an important goal for all dentists and patients

Track 20: 3-D Imaging in Dentistry

3D dental imaging uses an X-ray arm that rotates around your head. While rotating, it captures multiple images and sends them to a computer where the computer puts the images together in 3D format is 3d imaging in dentistry. With this technology, the dentist can take a panoramic view of a patient's mouth, which helps improve accuracy during the treatment. Medical technology has been improving at an incredible rate for the past several decades, leading to leaps and bounds in the quality of care for people around the United States. This is especially true for the dental industry.
